Lance Turner – Lead Guitar

BIO: LANCE TURNER

Born to musically supportive parents that bottle fed everything from James Brown to the Charlie Daniels Band, Lance Turner emerged from South Texas in pursuit of becoming the new Texas Gunslinger. In the same entrenched history of blues and rock guitarist hailing from the Lone Star state like Billy Gibbons, Charlie Sexton, and the immortal Stevie Ray Vaughn, Lance Turner decided at the age of 12 to show all the too cool for the room hacks that he had the power to lay it down. After playing every sordid, sweaty, packed ramshackle rusted out shit box dive bar in South Texas, Lance had to break out to a bigger stage and throw down with the best. Lance moved to LA in 1989 and enrolled at the world famous Musicians Institute.

After advancing his music education, Lance entered the LA casuals scene.  Playing with 5th avenue orchestras, Jeff Caron, Allen Weiss and Rob Ruben events in the early 90’s he later hung up his tuxedo to join and record two albums with Giant recording artists P.O.L.  After touring with Dokken, playing arenas and getting into all kinds of trouble, the band imploded and Lance went on to record and tour with Drive Thru records recording artist Cousin Oliver thru the end of the decade.

Lance finally was able to showcase his shredding ability and musical versatility by joining the world renowned Van Halen tribute band the Atomic Punks and by concurrently playing with the multifaceted quintet of the Platinum Rockstars.

Lance Turner has always been an old west fighter. Steely eyes, calm, surveying his quarry and with dead set aim.  Then he lets you have it with both barrels, right between the eyes. Bang! Your dead. You have just been served by the best gunslinger in this town! God Bless Texas!
