Taste Of Newport 2010 will feature the Platinum Rockstars and 70s and 80s hitmakers Foreigner

Join the Platinum Rockstars as they rock the 2010 Taste Of Newport festival with certified platinum superstars Foreigner on Saturday, September 18th at 7:30pm.

Foreigner dominated the AM and FM airwaves in the 70s and 80s with an incredible hitting streak of top-10 singles including “Feels Like The First Time”, “Jukebox Hero”, “Waiting For A Girl Like You” and “Long, Long Way From Home” to name but a few. Foreigner has never stopped rocking since their heyday, and new vocalist Kelly Hansen fills departed vocalist Lou Gramm’s shoes admirably.

Band founder Mick Jones is a criminally-overlooked guitar hero and has created and recorded some of the best guitar solos ever in addition to his amazing songwriting abilities.

Entertainment at the Taste Of Newport begins at 4:30 with local faves THS and  Journey tribute “Don’t Stop Believin’”.

Platinum Rockstars rock Taste In San Pedro

The Platinum Rockstars Superstar Show headlined the Taste In San Pedro for the second year in a row on Friday, August 6th 2010.

On a chilly evening, the Platinum Rockstars heated up the air performing five of their classic arena rock tributes at the show including perennial faves Boston, Journey, Def Leppard and Bon Jovi.

The Taste in San Pedro is a family-friendly foodie event in a fantastic setting in Point Fermin Park overlooking the Pacific Ocean on the cliffs of San Pedro.

Platinum Rockstars as 80s icons Bon Jovi

The Platinum Rockstars Superstar Show hit the beautiful Belly Up in Solana Beach, CA for their second show on Classic Rock Night on July 23rd. The show was a tremendous success, with 587 paid attendance (just 13 rockers shy of a sellout) and a total crowd of 680+. This was only the show’s second visit to the Belly Up and it looks like it won’t be their last in 2010!

Friday’s show featured local faves FooU opening the show and getting the crowd fired up for the Platinum Rockstars. Many in the audience dressed in their 70s and 80s best in the spirit of the night.

The Platinum Rockstars show featured tributes to The Who (Zeppelin was cut due to another Zeppelin tribute scheduled for the following week), Boston, Journey, Van Halen, Def Leppard and Bon Jovi and included some special surprises in between sets.

Platinum Rockstars rock the Santa Clarita Summer Concert Series 2010

The Platinum Rockstars made their Santa Clarita Summer Concert Series debut in Central Park in Santa Clarita, CA on Saturday, July 17th. The Santa Clarita Summer Concert Series is a free annual event featuring the best talent from the southland.

The day started out hot (104 when the road show arrived to set up!) and stayed toasty until the sun went down around 7:30pm. At that point, all was set for a great evening of class rock ‘n roll as the Platinum Rockstars performed a blazing 90-minute set featuring the greatest arena rock artists of all time, including Led Zeppelin, Boston, Journey, Van Halen, Def Leppard and Bon Jovi.

Attendance at the annual event was estimated to be 6000 rock ‘n roll fans and their families. If you missed this year’s show, make sure to catch the Platinum Rockstars at their next concert appearance!

The Fremont Street Light show included the Platinum Rockstars!

The Platinum Rockstars Superstar Shows hit the fabulous Las Vegas Fremont Street Experience for fifteen big shows beginning Tuesday, July 6th through Saturday, July 10th. It was an incredible five hot nights of rock ‘n roll with temperatures soaring above 100 degrees on stage most evenings. A hardy group of rockers made it out to the show every night and many new fans attended multiple nights.

The Platinum Rockstars Superstar Show put out their best effort every night and had the pleasure of making a passle o’ new friend such as Lorna from the United Kingdom:

“I had the privilege of watching these guys on Fremont Street on my last night in Vegas, and I was absolutely enthralled and thought they were brilliant.  I hope you come to the UK sometime soon.  If you get the chance to see these guys don’t miss it.”

The Fremont Street Experience is a series of outdoor free shows that run throughout the summer. The 2010 season’s Fremont Street Experience shows feature tributes to artists of the 1970s.

Platinum Rockstars play the Oak Park Music Festival 2010

Be sure to catch the Platinum Rockstars at 2010′s Oak Park Music Festival on Saturday, June 26th starting at 6pm. This live music family-friendly and FREE event happens only once a year in beautiful Oak Canyon Community Park.

The Platinum Rockstars Superstar Show features tributes to great classic rock artists that cross generations (from Woodstock to RockBand) including legends like Led Zeppelin, Boston, Journey, Van Halen, Def Leppard and Bon Jovi.

The Platinum Rockstars Guest Stars include the amazing Chuck Wright (Quiet Riot, Alice Cooper, House Of Lords) on bass, Lance Turner (Atomic Punks) on guitar and Mike McManus (Queen Nation, Egodog) on keyboards and guitar.

The Platinum Rockstars: The Bon Jovi Experience made their debut performance of this dedicated all-Bon Jovi tribute at the Ontario Convention Center at the Ontario Orange Grove Festival on Saturday, June 19th at 9pm.

This dedicated Bon Jovi tribute band was created due to overwhelming demand from Platinum Rockstars fans and booking agents for an all-Bon Jovi show, first seen in the popular Bon Jovi segment that’s a part of every Platinum Rockstars Superstar Show. Vocalist/frontman David Victor is a gifted impersonator of many popular rock star vocalists in the Platinum Rockstars, but perhaps his most accurate vocal impression is Jon Bon Jovi. The Bon Jovi segment that closes every Platinum Rockstars show has proven to be one of the most popular tributes in the show.

The Bon Jovi Experience also features two new members to the Platinum Rockstars family: bassist extraordinaire Dario Seixas (Stephen Pearcy, Firehouse, Takara) and our fantastic new keyboardist, Oleg Ginzburg.
