What hard rock band needs the least amount of introduction? We let PRS’ Al Estrada tell the story:
“To me, Van Halen defines the party vibe of the 70s and 80s rock scene, while featuring this incredible songwriting and musicianship. In 1978 with the release of their first album, Eddie Van Halen redefined how every rock guitarist sort of had to play to be relevant.”
Eddie Van Halen stands in a short list of true innovators on the guitar. His inventiveness on the fretboard (and everywhere else on the guitar!) seemingly knew no boundaries, with each album delivering a healthy dose of “Now how did he do that?!?”

With such staples as “Jump”, “Runnin’ With The Devil”, “Jamie’s Cryin’”, “Ice Cream Man”, “Hot For Teacher”, “Panama”, “Dance The Night Away” and “Ain’t Talkin’ ‘bout Love”, Eddie’s band took rock music to somewhere it had to be to emerge unscathed and healthier than ever from the disco era. “It’s almost like with Van Halen, you just can’t pick a bad song to do…they’re all so much fun to play!” exclaims Al.
